I am able to identify and not respond to my urges. I just notice them, understand how they were created, and allow them.
However, by doing this for 3 months I still notice that I use a large portion of my brain energy thinking about food and working on my urges. I would like to use it for reaching other goals in my life but the brain constantly generates Ts like: “You need a cake! Order a cake! Go and buy a cake!”. Then I have an urge and process it.
But I really want not to think about food and not to want it! Could you please advise how long does it usually take to stop thinking so much about food and not wanting it.
