Trouble distinguishing unwanted from indulgent thoughts


I am having trouble distinguishing between unwanted, but need to allow thoughts, and indulgent thoughts.. Lots of my unwanted thoughts seem to keep me stuck, which makes me wonder if they are indulgent instead and I need to go on a diet from them. For example when I think of cleaning my house, I feel dread and boredom. When I feel bored I put things off and don’t get started. I end up stuck. Does that mean boredom is an indulgent thought for me?
