I have been off sugar and flour for about 6 months. I am breastfeeding and haven’t slept a full night in months so I know my hormones are out of whack. I don’t have weight to lose but do like how NSNF has stabilized my hunger and eating overall. I do, however, get genuinely hungry between meals sometimes- not every day, but sometimes. I tried allowing the hunger to pass, but found it really difficult late afternoon (dizzy, headaches) and also found my milk supply going down. How is it wrong to listen to my body and eat when I’m naturally hungry? It’s not buffering. I’m not avoiding feelings, it’s physical hunger. Isn’t there a time when the body’s signals are more important than rules we apply? PS, I eat 3 meals a day and fast 13.5-14.5 hours every night and eat plenty of protein/fat.
