Two Goals – Which first?


I find myself in conflict over which goal to commit to for September. I would like to recommit to existing efforts towards fat loss, but also feeling the desire to start dating again with the goal of finding a long-term relationship that would lead to marriage. For the past three months I’ve been focused on fat loss as dating tends to bring up a number of negative emotions and I wanted more practice in managing negative emotions. Now I find myself feeling resentful towards the fat loss efforts driven by the thought “I have to be thin to be loved.” By continuing to defer dating and focus on fat loss efforts before starting to date again, am I proving this negative thought? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
