How to uncover neutral-ish emotions?

Hi Brooke,

Can you talk a bit about emotions that one wouldn’t necessarily consider “negative”?

I am 99% clear when I am feeling a negative emotion like anger, sadness, shame but for the ones like restlessness, I struggle to really identify them. It actually never even occurred to me that I felt restless until I listened to your podcast episode around feeling restless and wanting a drink.

In your own experience and in coaching others, what are some other emotions you’ve noticed people avoid or are unaware of because they aren’t characteristically negative or particularly strong? I find that the times I choose to buffer that even when I ask myself what emotion I’m feeling, I can’t decipher it so then I just continue with the buffering. I’d love some more awareness here so I can do models on really unpack it.

Thanks!
