I love everything you teach about overeating, and I’m wondering if you can speak to undereating, overly restricting one’s food intake, and orthorexic tendencies. This is something I am also likely to encounter in my niche as I develop my coaching practice.

Certainly if I get hints of actual anorexia or orthorexia that will be above my pay grade, as you say, and I will refer the client to a doctor. But people can be on that spectrum without (yet?) having developed a full-blown eating disorder, and I feel thought work can be really helpful to them.

Would you say obsessing over food and exerting excessive control over one’s food intake is another way of buffering? Is there another way to look at this?

Thank you!
