Hi,
I was thinking of using the urge jar to help me stay productive during the day instead of obeying the urge to procrastinate which leads to buffering with TV. So the protocol I was thinking of doing is laying out my schedule for the next day 24 hours in advance (kind of like we’ve been doing in April). Every time I feel the urge to procrastinate (the thought that always accompanies this feeling is I don’t feel like doing this) I will allow that urge without rewarding it with TV or my phone and then go about completing the next task on my written schedule. At the point that I’m completing the task instead of buffering is when I’ll but the bead in the jar.
Does this protocol sound realistic and effective? Any suggestions on when I should put the bead in the jar instead? Thank you!
