I am new to scholars and I’m trying to figure out urges as I follow my eating protocol. I ate what I had written down for dinner and after I was done and was cleaning up I had the thought “I would like to eat a little bit more.” I recognized it as a thought (which is often the hardest thing for me to do as I usually just respond to it right away) and I told myself that wasn’t necessary. The thought disappeared and that was that. I didn’t go off protocol or even have another thought about it. Would that be a time to put a rock into my urge jar? It seemed more simple than I think an urge is supposed to be. It usually isn’t that easy for me. Would this be considered an urge or just a simple thought? It didn’t seem “urgent.”
