Using the past actions to determine the future results

I was listening to the call last night on the 5 minute reset.
As you were coaching a women the idea that you can not determine future results based on past actions was discussed.
What if the past actions produced positive and desired results?
I am a CPA specializing in tax. About March 1 I start feeling anxiety about the mountain of work to be completed by April 15.
I reframe the thought to “April 15 has come and gone for 40 plus years, I will complete the work and it will be OK”
Or something like that. This keeps me calm.
Am I kidding myself? Does doing this allow me to ride it out rather than address my organization, calendar and work load?
Thanks, Teresa H
