Validation Model…


I’ve seen in me a need to seek validation from outside of myself – so I thought I’d do a model on it. Had some questions in the process.

C: Share an accomplishment 2x a week with others
T: Needing so much outside validation is bad
F: Uncomfortable

I had filled in the A as “Look up definition of validation to understand it deeper and do a model on it”. But realizing that negative feelings don’t usually lead to positive actions – I looked back – and realized that the thought for THIS action was inside a new model:

C: Share an accomplishment 2x a week with others
T: I can easily figure out how to validate myself
F: Confident
A: Look up definition of validation to understand it deeper and do a model on it
R: Give myself validation

How do you look at the first model in this context? I felt uncomfortable for feeling that I need “so much” validation – and then there was a second positive thought. Would there be an Action and Result on the 1st model – or is it possible that I simply skipped from negative thought to positive thought? Just curious what your thinking is on the 1st model and how it relates to the second. Thanks! 🙂
