Brooke talks about not moving or leaving a situation until you’ve learned how to be happy in that situation. I get the premise of not changing the circumstance hoping that makes you happy and letting the thought/feeling work move you to like you’re reasons. But where do I start?
The circumstance for me is that my husband of almost 27 years and I are not happy with our relationship- we’ve changed and grown apart, have different view points on important topics and our kids are older, the “family unit” isn’t enough to sustain us. I would like to move forward in friendship and in love even if we don’t stay together. I’m not sure how to do this, I’m not sure he realizes it is possible, he is not a follower of the model.
