Waking up at the time I set

I set my alarm for 6:15am this week and went to bed at 9/9:30pm for the rest I need. However, I got up at 6:15 on Monday and Tuesday but not the rest of the week.

In the morning I can hear the conversation going on in my head between the thoughts my brain is offering, me recognizing them as just thoughts and answering with my intentional thoughts. For example, “I’m sleepy, and that’s ok. I can get up anyway.” I also run through my list of reasons why I want to get up.

But I’m still not taking the action of getting up. I’ll be in this conversation limbo for about 10 minutes before I give up.

The thoughts are there, but maybe the feelings aren’t or aren’t strong enough? How can I fix that? And how can I consciously generate these feelings when I’m still half asleep?
