I find I buffer with food mainly at night. I make many difficult decisions and have to think through complex problems throughout the day that can mean literal life and death. When I get home, I often replay the day, or switch to other issues at home and other areas of life ( kids, husband, money, aging parents etc). I get so tired of thinking! And I just want to ‘zone out’ and this is often accomplished by eating. Are there other ways to take a break from the thoughts that better serve me? Is it ok to want to turn off the thoughts for just a break?
