What to do with our feelings in the moment?

I had a coaching session today, and I realized that when I am scared, I get angry and act controlling. I know that I do that, and I want to know what to do with my feelings in the moment. For example, if I know I am going to get angry, I can walk away instead of getting into an argument with my husband. However, that doesn’t take away my anger. I will still feel angry even if I don’t act on it. So, my question is, how do I deal with the anger?
