Working on unintentional models before moving to intentional ones

If we’re having lots of painful/angry feelings based on our thoughts about the C do we work as many unintentional models as necessary until we feel “clean” enough to move to the intentional model? I’m noticing it’s too much of a leap for me to go to a “genuine” intentional model directly from only 1-2 unintentional models, as there are several layers of *negative* thoughts and feelings I have about the C.

Would this illustrate the process you describe of feeling something all the way through? Thanks!
