Would you mind taking a look at my model? I divide up days that I take my 4 year old to school with my husband. On my days, I dread it. My child pitches a fit, cries, states that he hates school and I often have to cajole/drag him into school. Here is my unintentional thought model:
C- child says he doesn’t want to go to school
T- I can’t deal with this again
F- frustrated
A- bribe child with toy if he goes to school
R- feel spent and exhausted up to and after dropping him off at school
Intentional thought model:
C- child says he doesn’t want to go to school
T- that is what 4 year olds do and I can handle it
F- in control
A- diffuse temper tantrum by making child laugh or ignoring his fit
R- calmly drop off child at school
