Worthy fails vs. actions for weight loss

I’m beginning to understand the difference between an action taken towards the impossible goal and a worthy fail. Thank you to Lauren for the excellent video lesson on this!

Since my goal is to lose 30 pounds, I can see that one result-based fail for the first quarter is to lose 10 pounds. I think these count, too: to allow 100 urges and to complete a 4-week cleanse.

I think these are worthy fails, too, but I wanted to check:
X number of workouts completed
X number of days eating on protocol
X number of new recipes cooked
X number of days when I stop eating at 8 pm
To learn a basic weight-lifting routine and complete it X times

Am I on the right track?
Thank you for your help.
