Writing new thoughts / affirmations


I’ve been reading the book “Creative Visualization” and I like it a lot.

One of the simplest things she recommends is writing affirmations 10-20 times each day, alternating between using “I” “you” and your first name, really putting your heart in it and writing slight variations on the wording to follow your intuition.

I’ve tried doing this with a couple of the new thoughts I want to think/believe/put into practice and have had amazing results.

One of them is “I don’t use food for comfort or entertainment” (“you don’t use food for comfort or entertainment” “C doesn’t use food for comfort or entertainment” etc.) and it’s just amazing how strongly it comes to me and how easily I adopt it when an urge comes.

I know it is something you recommend also and I wanted to share my success in case it is helpful to others. The 10-20 repetitions and the i-you-first name trick have been great for me!
