When do you know when it’s a good time to increase the limiting routine?


Hi Brooke,This is the first time I’ve needed to fill in the Write it Down sheet.

Originally, last night was going to be a regular night (I’m limiting every other day right now since I’m new). But then I changed my mind that morning to make it a limit night. I did so b/c I felt good about limiting the previous night. But when evening came, I went through all sorts of thoughts and excuses like well, b/c this was supposed to be a regular; night I can just do what I originally planned and I’m not ready to do 2 limiting nights in a row. My question is: did I try to move too quickly into increasing limiting nights and not build up enough momentum to do that or is this just me finding yet another excuse in the moment to justify drinking? I’m discouraged b/c I was doing ok w/limiting every other day. When do you know when it’s a good time to increase the limiting routine?
