When Employees Leave


As an entrepreneur, I find myself in extreme negative emotions when an employee gives the notice to leave without a discussion on reason. I want to approach with kindness but in my heart, I immediately think of all the negatives about them and do not want to salvage relationships. This feels like I am putting my own feelings over the business and also the fact the person I hired was wonderful, did a good job, and hence continued to be part of my team. What I want to accomplish is keeping the fact that we offered the best we had to offer, we have the ability to cultivate, create and attract talent, and that I want to wish this person my best.
