I was visiting my elderly mother recently following a medical incident/ spent 4-5 hours talking and then when I went to leave (Planning to see her again the following day), I felt like she wanted me to stay longer and get her ready for bed versus the nurse we had hired (to address
her medical needs and get her ready for bed). Now feeling terribly guilty about this …perhaps I should have stayed and made her dinner and done these chores ! Ugh …this is hard. Did I do the wrong thing?
