Avoiding journaling


Hello,
I find myself avoiding journaling, self-coaching, and thought downloading. I am afraid of using it as a buffer and feel like when I journal, I am not productive and waste my time, distracting myself from doing the work that needs to be done.
How can I do journaling/thought downloading and self-coaching and still get the work done and not feel guilty that I am not productive/take time from getting things done?
