Becoming a Coach: Do I Stay or Do I Go?

Hi Brooke,
I have a question about being a coach. It is something I’ve always wanted to do, but my excuse thoughts have been “I’m a stay at home Mom of 3, I don’t have time, my husbands business is more lucrative and requires more support at this time”.

I have a second interview for a job on Tuesday, and I would really rather be shifting into owning my coaching skills, running a business and maintaining flexibility in my schedule. But mentally I’m just not there. I don’t know if I have hit a defeatist mentality, or if there is a lack of passion and I’m no longer driven to be a coach. I’ve also had some ethical apprehension due to the female lifestyle empowerment branding that so many coaches use.

I feel that this is just a mental entanglement that I have placed myself into. But I would really love to find some clarity surrounding whether or not a coaching business is the right solution.

Thank you for everything you are providing to the world. My husband and I love your work.
