Boundary consequence

When someone violates a boundary, can the consequence be “then I will be really upset with you”? I can’t think of any other specific actions that I would take in this situation as a consequence. For example, if the request that I am making to my mom is “I want you to knock on the door before you enter my room” and the boundary is “If you do not knock before opening my door” I don’t see the consequence being “then I will lock the door” because she has already entered the room. Since the “then I will _____” part comes after the “If you ______” I’m not quite understanding what other options there are for the consequence here that is coming from a place of love.
