Since no one other than ourselves can make us feel anything… does emotional abuse exist?

I get that even physical abuse is a thought. Abuse being subjective. But causing some kind of physical harm can be put into the C-line if you are specific.

But emotional abuse implies that someone can abuse us by making us feel certain things, which isn’t possible?

I understand that we can choose if we want to think of something as abuse or not… but where does emotional abuse fit in the model?
