Fainting


Hi Brooke!

I’ve cut out sugar and flour and have been IF for 2 weeks. My daughters had a bake sale last weekend to raise money for a dog shelter and begged me to eat a cupcake they baked. I decided to make it a joy eat and planned for it. That was Sunday night. On Monday night I woke up at about 1:30am feeling dizzy and a little nauseated. I thought maybe I was having a panic attack, so I just tried to ride the wave and calm myself down with my thinking. Then I stood up to go to the bathroom and the next thing I knew I was lying down on the floor across the room. I felt sweaty and lightheaded and scared (I’d never passed out before).

Do you think there’s any correlation between my new diet and this episode? How does having low blood sugar relate to insulin resistance? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
