feeling ‘not fun’

Hi Brooke

My work involves being away from home approximately 150 nights a year with 3 others. I have always been a very driven/motivated person when it comes to my work, and am now also following your weight loss programme, and so I tend to go to bed around 12:30, so I can be up at 7 to do my exercise and be working by 8am.

My colleagues however stay up til around 4am most nights drinking and smoking. I am very aware of being ‘left-out’ of the social side of the relationship because of my choices, and know that they think I am a lot more fun when I drink and don’t take life so seriously.

So I’m struggling with the balance between doing what I need to do to reach my goals vs spending time on my personal relationships with my colleagues. Any advice?
