Free floating feeling


I woke up this morning with a free floating feeling of sadness, feeling down and heavy. The feeling did not feel connected to any particular thought but rather a state of being. I could attach the feeling to a number of thoughts: son having problems at school, weight loss plateauing, stressful deadline at work but I am not sure how to work with a feeling that could stem from a number of thoughts. I did a model on each of these areas and it seemed to help but I would love some feedback on dealing with emotions that feel like a state of being rather than connected to one particular thought.
