I’ve started to notice that when I set goals that are 100% in my control (ie – weight loss, reading a certain number of books, or doing something for 30 days), I seem to achieve them.
However, when I set goals that will require participation of someone else, I tend to fail. For example, if I set a goal to have 100 people sign up for my list – this requires that someone else reads my blog post, and takes action to sign up for my list. I have no control over if they take action or not. Therefore I am not solely in control of meeting the goal. So I usually fall short of goals like these.
Can you please help me work through this?
