Having Goals

Recently I have wondered about the effectiveness of having goals.

Having a goals seems like coming from a place of “I don’t have enough now” and “I am not enough now.”

Plus sometimes being fixated on a goal makes us miss out other opportunities that life may present to us. We think we want X and X would be good for us, but then suddenly life presents Y to us and Y is amazing for us. But then we don’t receive Y, maybe we don’t even see it because we are too focused on X.

Life is always in the present moment, it is generous, we can trust it has our back and best interest at heart at each moment, we are always good enough. What if goals were actually counter productive?

What if all the effort was actually not necessary and we could always focus on receiving rather than getting?
