I Don’t Do What I Intend To Do


I’ve noticed a pattern for a while. I say I am carving out some time to read. I sit on the couch & get all comfy, but instead of reading my book I grab my phone first with the intention of only looking something up or scrolling on FB for 5 minutes. Well, the phone gets more attention than the book & it’s an hour later & I haven’t even opened the book. Why do I sabotage myself? What is underlining this behavior?

T – I want to read (for pleasure, personal growth, work knowledge)
F –
A – Pick up phone instead of book
R – I waste time
