Interrupting a habitual thought


My natural reaction when I talk to my husband is to get snappy with him.
An example model:
C- Husband said “why didn’t you lay out dinner?”
T- I always have to be the one to do it
F- Parent (if that makes sense….I feel like I have to take care of him so maybe resentful?)
A- Speak to him in snappy comments
R- ??? How does this = my thought of “I always have to be the one to do it”?

I don’t want to feel resentful but I seem to always feel this way.

Help please
