I had an impromptu coaching session with my sister in law this weekend about her career “spiraling the drain” at the ripe age of 46! A lot of things came up, but one of her beliefs is that her particular “work is tiring.” I offered that some people who did her work might find it invigorating, and that maybe “work” isn’t inherently tiring. But then I got to thinking about it; aren’t certain types of work, like manual labor, e.g. Farming, actually tiring? A physical body probably does feel fatigued after a day of plowing fields, bailing hay, etc. I’m having trouble with this one…
