I am extremely sad that we have to euthanize our family pet of 11 years today. Our dear black lab, Cali. It hurts a lot. My 9 year old son is very sad – how can we get through this easier? She has been a smart, loyal, loving, always there, part of our family and it’s going to be very difficult to not have her greet us at the door with the closest object she can find – usually a shoe. I know grieving is part of the natural process of being human and it will hurt less over time. Super sad 🙁
