So many thoughts, so many feelings.

I have been trying to tackle some big things that transpired over the last year. I have found that when I think of a circumstance I will have 5-8 feelings or thoughts on it. I have started with the first thought and feeling that comes to mind. When I work on that model I find that other feelings get stronger. Should I move to another model to address that feeling or do I only focus on the first model until I have worked through it? Am I thinking of my feelings on too small of a scale or is the circumstance too general?
