As I am doing one of the activities in the money training lesson 1, writing about money I grew up with, what I learned from my parents…. well I feel pulled. My mom always had to work hard for money. Growing up, she had two jobs and worked overtime. She always provided but we rarely had EXTRAS. BUT my dad always told me you’re nothing without money. My dad always had money. I lived with both, same household.
I did spend more time with my mom and I know my belief is more like mom’s. It’s just odd to me that they both have different beliefs. Is it possible that one parent can be the opposite of the other? Well, it has to right? Im just confused as to why I chose to have my mom’s belief. And do I still right what my dad told me about money in the activity even though it’s not my belief?
