No sugar no flour/feelings


Hi,

I’ve cut out flour and sugar for the last three days and been intermittent fasting and feel like a lot of negative emotion has come up as a result. I don’t normally think I’m an angry person but have been feeling really frustrated and irritable and waking up every morning with the same lethargic approach to the day that I would rather stay home and sleep! Is this a normal response to the initial stages and is the advice to sit with it? Sometimes my brain wants to indulge in overwhelm and think that I have to ‘feel happy’ all of the time and that I shouldn’t be feeling like this which isn’t a helpful approach.
Also, do you recommend not to drink alcohol during the NS/NF withdrawal as majority of alcohol has sugar in?
