I keep listening to the first call from Brooke’s most recent coaching call. The caller doesn’t believe in her own value, although she believes in everyone else’s value. I have had a similar story–I’ve had a lot of advantages, BUT my harshly critical father and my soft, dependent mother “made me fearful about sharing my most interesting, deep ideas with other people.” When I heard Brooke’s coaching, so much story fell away. AND, I think maybe our brains just LOVE it when they see a good story like that, that they know we’ll get hooked on, because it will “keep us safe”! No wonder so many of us have these stories, even though we all have led different lives! It’s just the lizard brain, and us not knowing that lizard brain is at work! Sooo good!
