Practicing with the Model


Am I doing the model correctly?

This morning we all overslept. It was so dark and we were so tired. I had to rush to get my son to school. On the way to school, I took the thoughts I had been having captive.

Reactive thought:

C: We overslept
T: I’m a failure
F: defeated
A: project onto others
R: everyone is crying and frustrated

New thought

C: We overslept
T: It happens
F: accepted
A: move with haste but in a gentle way and if we are late, we are late. It’s not my kid’s fault
R: We can have a good day.

Let me know if that is the correct model lol. I am sure there is no perfect way to do it.
