Preparing Food

I’ve just started following your Stop Overeating plan, and I wanted to clarify something. With my ‘protocol’ meals, should I be trying to make them as deliberately joyless as possible, so they are essentially just fuel, and not ‘exciting’ to me? Should it just be a deliberately boring as possible, so not adding spices, flavours etc, and just sticking to really basic, plain food?

Similarly, when I go to a restaurant, which happens a lot because of my work, should I just choose options that don’t excite me, so that I don’t get any of the ‘joy’ effect when it’s not a deliberate joy meal?
