Suggestions for Buffering Exhausted Mama


Hello! I’m working on dropping 16 lbs, down 4 lbs in 2 weeks (with fluctuations of course). I find when I have the hardest time staying present and allowing urges is after being home with my kids all day (they are 2 and 4), and I’m just tired. Plain tired. It’s 5 pm, I still have 2.5 hours before bed, and I’m bringing the food out to prep, and the snacking just starts happening. And then dinner is over; more snacking. I know it’s because I feel tired. The thought is harder to track down, but maybe something like “my brain and body are fried.” Do you have any suggestions for thoughts that would keep me fired up and mindfully allow those urges when I’m physically tired?
