Tension coming up, what else making it mean?

Hi coaches, here a model coming up over and over in my days

– C I am working. Increasing tension
– T: it means I am doing the -allowing it to be hard and doing it anyway- wrong
– F: defeated
– A: try to wrestle the resistance
– R: more resistance

Suggestions on alternative meaning I could put on the increasing tension? Because of the work we are doing here, it is straightforward for me to labeling it as resistance and seeing it as non ideal, given I have trained my brain all my life to do things by gritting my teeth. Thanks in advance
