I went back to watch your video on Unlearning Desire and I would like to apply it to my overspending habit.
You mention there that you encourage us to increase the opportunities to practice allowing the desire to be there and not answer it.
You said that we should put ourselves in situations where we will have urges, experience the desire and practice being present with it.
As I plan to reduce my desire to overspend, I’ve read on blogs that the first thing you want to do is unsubscribe from all newsletters of the online retailers so you won’t be tempted to shop.
Taking your idea, should I actually stay subscribed in order to increase the situations? (seems a bit masochistic, I must say…)
