weighing food vs. hunger scale

I am pretty adept at using the hunger scale, and am perhaps 90% adept at it. Sometimes I have difficulty telling when I am ‘content’ vs. ‘full’. I waste a lot of time with the last 10 bites figuring out if I need it or want it and if I am truly full or not. I definitely avoid getting to the point of over-full or uncomfortable. You mention in some of the videos about weighing/portioning food ahead of time to avoid this chatter. My question is, what if that pre-apportioned food truly does not fill me up and I am hungry? Should I eat more or just tell myself, that was the meal, I’ll get a chance to eat again at the next meal?
