Bridesmaid

Hello,

I agreed to be a bridesmaid in a wedding of a relative coming up. She advised we would wear black dresses and black shoes of are choosing and I agreed. I understand her wedding is a reflection of her style and personality, which she has decided to have a Star Wars theme wedding on May 4th (may the 4th be with you). I have been supportive in her ideas even when I feel some ideas are taking away from the importance of the actual ceremony and wedding. She already insisted we all wear black capes with the dresses, which I didn’t like but agreed to. She has now advised that she wants all the bridesmaids to wear temporary face tattoos, to look more warrior for the Star Wars theme. I am all for the tattoos if she wants to wear it. I personally don’t want to wear it. I think the tattoos seem silly, not my style/taste, and are slightly making a mockery of the marriage by taking things over the top with the theme. I agreed to be a bridesmaid so part of me feels like I have to wear this temporary face tattoo even though I don’t want to. Is it ok to say no to this as a bridesmaid? If so, how to I tell the bride I do not want to participate in wearing the face tattoo?
