What is your advice on self-coaching when the goal is something that is outside our control? For example, my husband and I desperately want a baby. After such a long time of wanting – yet not having – a baby, I am not sure where to take my self-coaching. My thought of “I will have my children when the time is right” feels less and less true, and my feeling of “hopeful” is waning. But, I’m not ready yet to accept the thought of “We may never have children” (even though this may be true)…or the feeling of “sad” that follows it.
