I am new to SCC. I am working on an eating protocol. I would like to incorporate intermittent fasting into my protocol as I have found it has been successful in the past. My goal in my protocol is to eat whole food, plant based. I work in an emergency room doing 8 hour shifts that vary hugely in terms of day and night. I have successfully managed to IF through day shifts and then evening shifts where I’m done by midnight. However I have 2-4 shifts a month that start at 10pm and end at 4am. I really struggle through these shifts without eating as they are so busy, and physical. Honestly, I use food to wake up and be more alert. This is a theme that runs through my life since my days of med school. How would you advise that I approach this?
