Forward momentum in coaching business

Summary: I started my business January 2017. I have been stop and go for most of the time. I signed up for SCS in September and have really made some movement going in my business. I have scheduled my first talk to take place at the end of September. I have a possible client that says she is interested but isn’t able to make the payment until the end of October. Things I have done in the past are Facebook lives, Youtube videos and Facebook ads. All of these again were inconsistent. I now have all of these ideas that buzz around in my head. Some are expensive to implement and my husband is cautioning me on focusing on getting clientele established before going for the big projects. I am acting toward the high expenditure more out of scarcity I believe now as I type this question. What are your thoughts? Is it best to focus on the small marketing strategies to build a good foundation first?
