Dare of the day update:
Me: Can I have this coffee for free?
QT employee: Why?
Me: Just because.
QT employee: Is there something wrong with it?
Me: No.
QT employee: (looks puzzled) Ok then no.
Me: Ok thanks.

This was awkward, fellow scholars. Awkward. But in retrospect, not a big deal. We can do awkward. And we can do rejection. And next time when they ask why, I’m going to muster up the courage to respond with, “because I’m awesome.”
