Thanks for your reply. I understand what you are saying and understand that adding painful thoughts to the pain of the illness will make it worse, and it does. I just want to understand how just stating the fact for example, ‘I am in pain’ and ‘I have an illness’ will make me feel good. I understand I will not be adding to the pain, but I am still in pain. Is just having neutral thoughts about this going to make me feel better about this? My aim ideally is to feel good! xx
